The Zain Africa Challenge is a fast-paced question and answer programme featuring outstanding students from across continental Africa.

For Season 4, thirty-two universities from eight countries competed at the International Championship Festival for the right to represent their universities and countries on the televised programme. The winning 16 teams will vie for the prestigious Zain Trophy and prizes for their universities and themselves.

Zain grants to the universities and participants from the National Qualifying Tournaments through the International Championship total nearly $1,000,000 USD. Grants include cash sums, educational materials and travel.

The programmes are recorded during the International Championship Festival in Kampala, Uganda.
